Meet Stormie

So today will be a day I will forever cherish and be thankful. As a breeder I strive for breeding sound quality German Shepherd Dogs, but the reality is I truly want Kingdom Shepherds to be best known for serving others with the dogs we have bred. While we show in the conformation ring to evaluate and improve our breeding program, today we achieved a win that no other win in the dog showing world could ever meet or exceed.

Kingdom Shepherds had the blessing to place a puppy from our Ruger x Zara litter as a “gift wish” through the Make A Wish of Georgia. This puppy was placed with an 11 year old girl, currently in remission from bone cancer. The process of meeting her and her family over the past months, and their visiting Kingdom’s Ranch on several occasions, has been a beautiful experience. The long awaited anticipation for today’s “puppy pawty” has been exciting and special. What I never imagined would happen, is to have this little girl hug me tight, and shed tears in my arms, as she told me it was the happiest day of her life. Nothing has ever been more heartfelt as a breeder than that moment. And there will NEVER be a moment to compare to the ultimate WIN of changing a child’s life.
